Praying the Creed

Something that I often find difficult to explain to non-liturgical Christians is the significance of reciting/reading the Creed together.  It’s difficult for me to make it sound like anything more than a basic doctrinal check-up.  Fortunately, there are people in this world who are much more eloquent than I, so I’m sharing this YouTube video:

In short, the Creed is a prayer, a statement of love, and the proclamation of a way of life.  If we can only engage with what it says while we speak its words, it can be a powerful act & experience, putting forth what Christianity is all about.
